Goldfish Swim School, the leading learn-to-swim franchise concept spanning 120-plus locations across North American, took part in the Move For Hunger “Can the CEO” food drive, collecting over 1,000 canned food items that are being donated to the Gleaners Community Food Bank of SE Michigan

The Goldfish Swim School Franchise Team, based in Troy MI, was challenged with filling CEO Chris McCuiston’s office with so many non-perishable food items that he could barely get to his desk – mission accomplished!

Gleaners Community Food Bank distributes the food to 534 partner soup kitchens, shelters, and pantries in five southeast MI counties. Every four pounds of donated food can provide three meals to a hungry neighbor.

Move For Hunger is a national 501©3 non-profit organization that mobilizes the relocation industry to reduce food waste and fight hunger as more than 40 million Americans, including 1 in 6 children, are food insecure; meanwhile, 40% of the food in the Unites States is wasted.

Goldfish Swim School provides swim lessons and water safety instruction to infants and children ages four months to 12 years, teaching children how to be safer in and around the water. Each school offers swim lessons and programs using a proprietary philosophy, The Science of SwimPlay®, to build life skills both in and out of the water using play-based learning in a fun and safe environment. Each school’s number one focus and main priority is always the same – educating children on water safety while teaching them how to swim and respect the water.
