CD One Price Cleaners, a high volume dry cleaner in the Chicagoland area, is always looking for ways to invest in the communities they serve, and that desire only grew during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Working with their franchisees, they knew that they wanted to help as many people as they could, especially healthcare workers and first responders. They were able to offer all healthcare workers and first responders 20 lbs of free wash and fold laundry each week through the initial shutdown phases.
Throughout April and May, CD One Price Cleaners cleaned nearly 52,000 lbs of free laundry for 1,479 healthcare workers and first responders. Each of the 1,479 people visited and redeemed the offer an average of 2.7 times for a total of 3,989 visits. Of the 1,479 healthcare workers and first responders, 656 of them were new customers (44.3 percent).
With 36 locations, including locations in Minneapolis and St. Louis, and pickup and delivery dry cleaning options, CD One Price Cleaners put all efforts on supporting the individuals who are on the frontlines of battling COVID-19 and by alleviating laundry from their to-do lists. They were successful in aiming to help healthcare and first responders free up what little down time they had.
