For Lester Snyder, a franchisee of Massage Envy, the COVID-19 pandemic brought with it mandated location closures, and threatened the bottom line of his business model. In the face of this adversity, however, Snyder stepped up and gave back to his employees and, by extension, uplifting his community.
Snyder took quick and decisive action when his Massage Envy locations were closed due to civil authorities’ mandates to protect the well-being and financial security of his team. For all employees of his franchised business, his business continued providing health care at company expense, and assisted with direct financial support for employees struggling with delayed unemployment benefits. Snyder and his team also offered food bank assistance for his employees so that they would have an uninterrupted supply of food for themselves and their families.
