Steve Griffey, the CEO of Salons by JC, a salon suite concept that empowers stylists with a business and space of their own, is giving back to his system in profound ways as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In response to the economic challenges facing his franchise system, Griffey bought food packs for 400 of his suite owners, who had to close their salon locations because of local public health closure mandates. These food packs allowed these salon owners to provide food for themselves and their families for a week or more given the tight economic circumstances. Griffey noted that these business owners fall in the “donut hole” of government assistance, so that while they have need, they would be unable to qualify for SNAP (food stamps).
IFA is proud of Salons by JC for stepping into the gap to provide critical food assistance for salon owners in this challenging time. To learn more about Salons by JC, click here.
